Take The Road To Tikal In Guatemala
The ruins of Tikal is considered by many as the best surviving example of Mayan architecture around.As we climbed aboard the battered minibuses Flores at 17:00 the air was thick with anticipation. Even the driver fell asleep at the wheel in half with a helmet hanging from his ears, has failed to curb the spirit of adventure. Each traveler was lost in their own thoughts and the conversation was minimal, as we left town and headed mist.As tomorrow on the bus, loaded with well-fed Westerners and their backpacks, struggled to a hill, we went into the jungle to our tour of Tikal. The expectation was reinforced by yellow warning signs on the side of the road.
