Journey To The Dong Van Plateau Explore World Geo-park Network In Vietnam

Dong Van Plateau Karst Geopark consists of four districts, ie, Meo Vac, Dong Van, Yen Minh, Quan Ba. Located in the northern province of Ha Giang, Vietnam. Karst is created at least 80 percent limestone, and many species of fossils of ancient creatures 4-600 years ago. Its average altitude is 1400 -1600 m above sea level.
Dong Van Plateau Karst Geopark is located in the temperate and divided into two seasons: rainy and dry seasons. The average annual temperature is 24 -28 C, but winter temperatures can be lowered by 5 degrees Celsius.
Dong Van rocky Highlands Geopark was officially the 77th member of the Global Network of Geoparks on 10/03/2010. It was the first World Geopark in Vietnam, the second in South Asia.
