History Of Tibet - Songtsen Gampo And Buddhism

In ancient times, the ancestors of the Tibetan people living on both sides of the Yarlung River Tsanpo. Head of the Yarlung tribe attacked and conquered several tribes close to becoming king of the century 6. Tibetan forces spread so rapidly that it created a great and powerful empire. This is known in Chinese history as rich tupos.
Traditionally considered Bhrikuti, Princess of Nepal, was his first wife, and has played an important role in the establishment of Buddhism in Tibet. To strengthen his power, Songtsan Gambo married Princess Wen Cheng (the niece of Emperor Taizong of the Tang dynasty in China) in 641. Not only with advanced technologies in medicine, agriculture and the development schedule as well as Buddhist sutras, statues and a desire to promote Buddhism. From there, more people in Tibet was converted to Buddhism and the indigenous religion of Bon, which had dominated Tibet for thousands of years, began to decline. Contacts between central China and Tibet was influential in Tibetan society in the fields of economics, politics and culture.
In the 13th century and 14 during the Yuan Dynasty, the central government has established a department to monitor and manage the affairs of Tibet and Tibet under its direct management. Local government was established by the Ming Dynasty and the Qin was appointed a Ministry in order to deal with cases in Mongolia and Tibet. In 1653, the central government officially approved the title of Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama the title in 1713. A resident minister in charge of the affairs of Tibet was also named in 1728, followed by the creation of "Gexia" in 1751.
In 1934 he lived an agency of the Government of China to administer the affairs of Tibet. In 1959, the Tibet Autonomous Region was created.
