Vietnam is known for its green valleys, limestone cliffs, the Mekong Delta and the people warm and friendly Vietnamese. It shares borders with China, Laos and Cambodia, and mountains, terraced rice field on the hills, white sand beaches and beautiful waterways.
Over 86 million people live in Vietnam. Most live in large cities, but there are still a lot of hill tribes, particularly in the far north - among them the cat, Black H'mong and Red Dao. You can meet some of these friendly people, if you take the train from the north of Hanoi to Sapa trekking. For a taste of Vietnamese culture, you can visit Hue City and if you are looking for some casual fun to visit Hoi An, where you can scroll through the rice fields, lie on the nearby beach or take a cooking class to learn how to make a difference dishes.Time traditional Vietnamese: Vietnam is 6 hours ahead of UK.
