Some less extreme adventures for travelers who are not willing to risk or spend much.
Extreme adventures and adventure travel are becoming more popular all the time. Some of us, but who want the excitement without the risk of injury without being shot or kidnapped by Robert Pelton, and without spending a fortune. In that spirit, here are some ideas for Adventure Travel less extreme.
- The summit of the highest mountain in your state. It may be less adventurous in some states, but it will at least be an excuse to go out and exercise.
- Canoe down the river you've never been. There might be interesting to an hour away from you. If you do not have one, you can rent a canoe, and bring a picnic.
- Treasure Hunt on the beach. You can rent or buy a metal detector and have a relaxing weekend, but interesting to find coins, jewelry and who knows what in the sand.
- Vagabonding. Only a few days to pack up and go, without a goal. See where you end up with, and what you can.
- Surf lessons in Montanita, Ecuador. You can bring your CD to the Bob Marley hippie / reggae / tourist area. The beaches are beautiful and the experience is cheap.
- Make a raft. Find the nearest river, which is big enough and has some public forests, then build a raft from dead trees and float downstream for a day.
- Cliff Diving. Try the small, like those on Lake Superior near Marquette, Michigan. You need to jump five feet in the crystal.
- Climbing lessons of Mount Rainier in Washington. And 'certainly more exciting than my trip to the local sledding hill at the top of my ice ax and crampons.
Journey to the Monastery -. You can make a spiritual experience or simply relax. They are usually reasonably priced housing, and they are beautiful places.
- Take a tour of hot springs. Running in a few days with a guide to sources of heat or copied directly from the Internet. Sue, a towel and a cooler full of refreshments. For added adventure, find the ones you have to wander in the desert to find.
- Take a tour cascade. If you live near an area with waterfalls, to move in a few days to find any that you have not seen. try to find them, you can swim in.
What is adventure? To engage in any activity, there is little new to you, and not have a predictable result. It should not be too dangerous to be interesting and fun. It could also include a visit to the nearest big city for a weekend in the bars. Of course, depending on the bars you choose, it can be one of the most extreme adventures.
