He is also the site of the famous battle between Shivaji and Afzal Khan, ruler of the Sultanate of Bijapur. Mount Malcolm used to be the most famous building of ancient times. was built in 1829 with magnificent architectural skills. Unfortunately, it has lost much of its charm today.
Wilson Point or PointIt Sunrise is the highest point in Mahabaleshwar, about 4710 meters above sea level. It is a vast plateau are three masonry round platforms offer a beautiful view of sunrise. Chassis no: 2 is the best platform to see the sunrise, you can also see the sunset from this point.
Catholic Churcha visit to the old Raman Catholic Holy Cross church is worth seeing. Although the church close to falling apart, the windows are still a sight to behold. This deserted church is now supported by a Hindu family.
Falls are a series of waterfalls is a short distance from Mahabaleshwar. The waterfalls are famous Chinese (2.5 km), Dhobi (3 km) and Lingamala (6 miles). Another beautiful waterfall is home to Arthur, 12 km from Mahabaleshwar.
ClubThe Mahabaleshwar Club was built in 1881 and is still flourishing and well maintained. Only club members can stay here. It is very popular for its well-tended roses and lovely jogging track. Christmas is grandly celebrated by loyal members every year. Fortunately, it is open to visitors who can spend on the golf course when they feel like.
Morarji CastleAlso worth a look, this old structure. Mahatma Gandhi once lived here in 1945.
